ABOUT ME

I am Alba, a honest, cheerful, heart guided and sensitive woman born in Spain. I love connecting with nature, swimming in rivers, traveling without plans, cacao, music, and spending time with my loved ones. I believe in people, in growth and change, and in yoga as a powerful tool for transformation and inclusion.

MY JOURNEY

I began practicing yoga eight years ago, and over time, it became my way of life. In 2022,  I left my job to travel and volunteer across Latin America and Asia, a journey that deepened my practice and allowed it to truly take root.

I completed my Yoga Teacher Training in Rishikesh, India, followed by Yoga Anatomy and Therapy training and an Advanced Yoga Teacher Training at Samyak Yoga School in Mysore, India. Complementary trainings in the Neuroscience of Yoga, Yoga for Kids, Philosophy behind Asanas, Yoga for Women’s Health, Yoga for Mental Health, and Thai Massage (Sunshine Thai Massage School, Thailand) have enriched my understanding of the body–mind connection.

PRACTICE & SOCIAL IMPACT

Along this path, I have spent time in ashrams like Sivananda Neyyar Dam, and explored meditation in centers such as Tushita, Osho Gangadham (India), and Wat Pa Tam Wua (Thailand). These experiences shaped the way I share yoga with others. I have taught yoga in Switzerland, India, and Spain, in some studios, community spaces, NGOs, and events, including programs for children.

I studied a Social Work Bachelor’s Degree, which inspired me to participate in projects like Yoga de Rua in Rio de Janeiro, where yoga is used as a tool for social inclusion and human dignity. I have also taught trauma-sensitive yoga sessions for refugees, as well as classes for children and diverse communities, blending social work and yoga to foster empowerment and wellbeing.

MUSIC & MANTRA

While living with ancestral communities and spending time in ashrams and other spiritual environments, I discovered sacred chanting; music as a heartfelt medicine, beyond perfection. In India, Sanskrit mantras became part of my daily life. I love closing yoga classes with soft mantras, guitar, harmonium, and other melodies, and recently I have started to take part in kirtans as well, deepening my connection to this practice of sound and presence.
